CT Metering Panels

Utility-grade Current Transformer metering cubicles engineered for large commercial and industrial consumers

Overview

Current Transformer (CT) Metering Panels

For large commercial developments, manufacturing facilities, hospitals, and high-rise buildings drawing over 100 A (70 kVA to 2500 kVA+), KPLC requires dedicated Current Transformer (CT) metering panels. Nairobi Power Engineers manufactures utility-approved CT metering cubicles built strictly to KPLC Large Power (LP) specifications.

Our CT panels feature sealed, padlockable CT chambers with precision Class 0.2s or Class 0.5s metering current transformers, Test Terminal Blocks (TTB) with voltage disconnect and CT shorting links, and isolated compartments for revenue meters and incoming/outgoing circuit breakers.

FAQs
A TTB is a specialized terminal block with shorting links that allow KPLC engineers to safely insert test instruments and calibrate the revenue meter while the power remains on, without dangerous open-circuit CT voltages.
Yes. We frequently integrate a KPLC-compliant sealed CT metering compartment directly inside our Form 4b Main Distribution Switchboards, saving floor space in the main electrical switchroom.
