Single-phase meter boards provide the metering compartment, main switch and final distribution for domestic dwellings and small commercial supplies. NPE builds them ready for a direct 240 V connection with sealed tails.

A typical board carries the meter position, a double-pole main switch or isolator, and a bank of MCBs or RCBOs for lighting, sockets and dedicated circuits, with an RCD or RCBO protection strategy chosen for the installation.

Frequently asked questions

How many ways do I need?

Allow a way per final circuit plus spare. A small dwelling is typically 6–12 ways; we size from your circuit schedule.

RCD or RCBO?

Per-circuit RCBOs avoid nuisance tripping across the whole board and are preferred for mixed loads; a split-load RCD arrangement is a lower-cost alternative.

Surface or flush mount?

Both are available; flush gives a tidier finish in finished rooms, surface is faster to install in plant and back-of-house areas.

Can you pre-wire it?

Yes, boards are built, wired and tested in the workshop and delivered ready to terminate.
