Nairobi Power Engineers supplies and fabricates electrical enclosures and cabinets for switchgear, control gear, metering and instrumentation. The enclosure is chosen for the IP rating, the internal heat load and the way the panel is maintained.
From wall-mount control boxes to floor-standing switchboards and weatherproof outdoor kiosks, we coordinate the gland plates, ventilation, internal chassis and cable entry so the finished assembly fits the site and the equipment inside it.
Enclosures are selected to IEC 60529 (IP) and, where relevant, IEC 62208 for empty enclosures, with anti-condensation control for outdoor and humid installations.

Frequently asked questions
How do I choose an IP rating?
Match it to the environment: IP54/55 indoor dusty or washdown, IP65/66 outdoor. We advise from the installation and any hosing or dust exposure.
Do enclosures need ventilation?
If the internal heat load is significant, yes — filtered fans or vents, or a cooling unit for high-density panels. Our sizing calculator gives a starting current for the load inside.
Steel or stainless?
Powder-coated steel suits most indoor and sheltered outdoor use; stainless is specified for corrosive or coastal environments.
Can you fabricate custom sizes?
Yes, we fabricate to the equipment and site, including gland plates and internal chassis to suit.
