Transient overvoltage protection
Surge-protection selection starts with the earthing system, supply and installation location. Compare protection level and discharge ratings using the stated test conditions. A 3P+N arrangement and a 4P arrangement must not be treated as interchangeable simply because both occupy four modules.
Typical applications: Supply entrances, distribution boards and sensitive equipment circuits.

Can I substitute a four-pole device directly?
Not from pole count alone. Confirm the circuit duty, neutral arrangement, dimensions, terminals, control supply and relevant protective characteristics. Four-pole availability is series-specific.
