Cables, Wiring & Installation Accessories

Certified copper and aluminium power conductors, armoured cables, cable containment, and British Standard wiring accessories

Overview

Cables, Containment & Wiring Systems

Electrical cables and wiring accessories form the physical arteries of every power distribution infrastructure. Nairobi Power Engineers supplies KEBS, BASEC, and British Standard (BS) certified electrical conductors engineered for low voltage drop, high short-circuit thermal withstand, and long service life.

Our range spans XLPE/SWA/PVC armoured power cables (BS 5467), Low Smoke Zero Halogen cables (BS 6724), shielded instrumentation and control wiring (BS 5308), marine offshore cables (BS 6883), heavy-duty cable tray management systems (BS EN 61537), BS 1363 13A wiring accessories, and EV charging infrastructure (BS 7671 Section 722).

FAQs
XLPE (Cross-Linked Polyethylene) has a maximum continuous operating temperature of 90°C compared to 70°C for standard PVC. This allows XLPE cables to carry significantly higher current for the same conductor cross-sectional area and withstand higher short-circuit temperatures (250°C vs 160°C).
Yes. Kenya follows British Standards (BS 1363 for 13A square-pin switched sockets and BS 3676 / BS EN 60669 for lighting switches), both of which are strictly enforced by the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) and KEBS.
