Cable Management & Containment Systems

Organized, structurally sound cable containment is vital for long-term cable protection, adequate heat dissipation, and neat switchroom aesthetics. Nairobi Power Engineers manufactures and stocks heavy-duty cable management systems complying with British Standard BS EN 61537.

Our range includes pre-galvanised and hot-dip galvanised (HDG) perforated cable trays, heavy industrial cable ladders for high-voltage and heavy power feeders, 41x41mm Unistrut channel framing, wire mesh basket trays, and galvanised steel floor trunking with complete bends, tees, and risers.

FAQs
Cable ladders are recommended for heavy power cables (e.g. 70 mm² to 400 mm² SWA) and long support spans (over 2 meters) because they offer maximum load-bearing strength, open airflow for heat dissipation, and easy cable strapping.
Pre-galvanised sheet steel (approx. 15µm zinc) is suited for clean, dry indoor commercial buildings. Hot-dip galvanised (HDG per ISO 1461, 65–85µm zinc) coats the steel after cutting and perforation, providing heavy corrosion protection for outdoors, plant rooms, and coastal regions.
