This policy explains how Nairobi Power Engineers Ltd (“NPE”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses and protects personal data submitted through this website, and the rights you have under the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019.
NPE is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. We are an electrical engineering company based at 27 Baricho Road, Industrial Area, P.O Box 51293 – 00200, Nairobi, Kenya. You can reach us at sales@nairobipower.co.ke or +254 737 944 014.
Enquiry and request-quote forms. When you send an enquiry or quotation request, we collect your name, company, email address and phone number, together with the technical details you provide about your project — project type, location, timeline, product category, ratings, quantities and technical notes.
Newsletter signup. When you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address.
Submission metadata. Each form submission includes the page you submitted from and the time of submission. This is used only for spam protection and to route your enquiry. The site itself sets no tracking cookies and runs no analytics, advertising or third-party tracking scripts.
We use the data you provide to respond to your enquiry, prepare quotations, deliver the newsletter you subscribed to, keep records of enquiries for follow-up, and detect and block spam or abusive submissions.
Our legal bases are: taking steps at your request before entering a contract (responding to an enquiry or quote request); legitimate interests (follow-up on enquiries, protecting the website from abuse, keeping business records); and consent (newsletter — you can unsubscribe at any time by replying to any newsletter email).
Enquiries are stored in a protected log directory (.enquiries) on the same hosting account that serves this website. There is no third-party database or cloud service, and access is limited to NPE staff who need the data to do their jobs. Forms include anti-spam controls and rate limits to protect the service.
We keep enquiry records for up to 24 months from the last contact with you, after which they are deleted, unless a quotation, contract or legal obligation requires longer. Newsletter email addresses are kept until you unsubscribe or the newsletter is discontinued.
We do not sell, rent or share personal data with third parties for marketing. Data is not transferred outside Kenya except in the ordinary course of email delivery, or where you choose to contact us through third-party channels such as WhatsApp. We may disclose data where required by law or a court order.
Under the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and you may object to or restrict processing or request portability of your data.

We may update this policy from time to time. The “last reviewed” date above shows the most recent revision, and any changes will apply from that date.
