Automatic Transfer Switches & Generator Control

Nairobi Power Engineers manufactures custom Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) panels, Manual Transfer Switch (MTS) boards, and multi-generator synchronising switchboards from 63 A to 4000 A. Our panels ensure seamless transition between utility grid (KPLC) and standby diesel generators or solar hybrid sources.

Powered by industry-leading Lovato Electric ATL series automatic transfer controllers (ATL600, ATL800, ATL900), our ATS panels provide precision voltage sensing, adjustable transfer timers, generator exercise routines, and motorized breaker/contactor mechanical interlocks.

FAQs
4-pole switching completely isolates the neutral conductor between utility and generator. This prevents dangerous circulating neutral currents, avoids nuisance tripping of Earth leakage relays, and ensures clean earthing references.
Closed-transition (make-before-break) synchronises the generator to the utility grid for a fraction of a second before opening the incoming breaker, allowing zero-power-interruption return to utility without flickering lights.
