Worm gearboxes generate excessive heat under heavy continuous loads and lose up to 35% of input power in friction. Bevel-Helical gearboxes operate at > 94% efficiency, run much cooler, and handle massive starting shock loads without tooth failure.

A shrink disc is an external mechanical friction clamp that locks the hollow gearbox shaft onto the solid machine shaft without a keyway, eliminating keyway fretting corrosion and making future removal effortless.
